Open Source Ecology (OSE) is a network of farmers, engineers, and supporters building the Global Village Construction Set (GVCS), an open source, low-cost, high performance technological platform that allows for the easy, DIY (Do It Yourself) fabrication of the 50 different Industrial Machines that it takes to build a small, sustainable civilization with modern comforts. The GVCS includes machines, equipment, tools, components, and other infrastructures for creating a complete economy: food, housing, fuel, energy, building materials, transportation, materials, and fabrication. Thus we are pursuing the creation of an open society, where everybody's needs are met, and where everybody has access to information, material productivity, and just governance systems - such that human creativity is unleashed, for all peoples.
In the presentation we will share: how we are implementing Lifetime Design, Open Collaborative Development, Open Documentation and Distributive Economics, what is the current state of GVCS development, our project needs and future plans. Furthermore, we will look into the development of OSE Europe and its potential.
