Little attention has been brought to the erosion of civil rights in Latin America lately, yet the attack on the very basic freedoms and rights is a continuing trend in Latin America.
Through censorship, paradigitalism and repressive laws, governments are using their influence to seed fear and confusion over the use of an infrastructure, that otherwise would be a great tool for strenght the weak and unmature democracy in Latin America.
In this session, Geraldine Juarez from Mexico City talk about the erosion of civil rights in Latin America, focusing in Mexico where the war is shattering civil rights and safe spaces to excercise them. The good news is that people is fighting back.
